In the past decade, I personally think that social media has been the biggest development that totally revolutionized the way people lived around the world. It has its positives and unfortunately, it also has negative impacts.
One of the most popular disadvantages would probably be the way people view themselves as this has been heavily influenced by social media and thinking that others need to approve of how you look based on a certain “norm” when it comes to beauty.
Take Instagram influencers, for example. Believe it or not, being an influencer is considered to be a viable source of revenue for some people and in order to grab attention, some influencers would go the extra mile just to make themselves look prettier and more “perfect”.
Well, some of them are not near as perfect as they think they are. In fact, they look plainly out-of-this-world, even borderline scary! Editing photos may have its little perks, but too much of it is definitely a big No-No!
These 52 Instagram accounts sum up what I just mentioned. You’d be surprised at how much people alter their photos that they even look like other people in the “after” photos!
