They are soldiers and they mean business when it comes to following the rules and fulfilling their duties. But, these people who appear to be serious and untouchable are not always as fierce as you think they are!

In fact, just like the rest of us, these courageous people are also capable of having fun and being goofy just because. Don’t believe me? The video shows men in three lines. They are standing proud in their Army uniforms as their drill commander speaks powerfully and leads them on. They are completely serious during the drill, but what they were doing will surely bring a smile to your face.

The soldiers look like they are at their base as the video was taken. When the clip began, the men immediately went into motion and started marching. A few moments later, the men went on to clap their hands loudly as well.

Next to the three lines of Army men is their drill commander. His voice is loud and clear as he directs the soldiers on what they are going to do. He leads them in a military cadence that only involves the funniest and most entertaining moves.

The men follow what their commander says. When he says “snap both sides”, the soldiers did without hesitation. They are absolutely quick to follow and are in perfect harmony!

“You’re dynamite, you’re fit to fight, now let me see you lean to the left…”

The drill commander was clear with his commands and the soldiers who are following earnestly did as they are told. There was even a loud “Whoop!” as they turn to the left.

Of course, they also did it to the right and then both sides. They were having so much fun and their enthusiasm for the fun activity is quite obvious.

People online who have witnessed their awesome clip can’t help but comment:

“I haven’t served but I come from a military family. I think that was funny! Live a little when you can.”

The power of military cadences

You do not need to be a soldier for you to know what cadences are. These are basically the songs our beloved soldiers sing out loud during a drill.

According to the U.S. Army website, cadences are not just mere songs learned in the army.

“Dating back to the Revolutionary War, the Army cadence has been an important tradition that has withstood the test of time. Used to motivate, inspire and keep the Soldiers’ steps in time, cadences foster a cohesive company while at the same time handing down the rich oral traditions of the U.S. Army.”

Aside from being a mood booster, these cadences are also great for keeping the soldiers in shape in terms of breathing which helps these men and women in running and marching for longer periods.

Their video did not end there, though.

The men did a startling move just before the clip ended. The commander told them to do a signature Keanu Reeves move and yes, they did just that and it was totally hilarious!

One YouTube user commented:

“I think its pretty awesome that our soldiers can have fun as well…im sure they know when its time to get down to business.”

Oh, yes, they do know when to get serious and they also know when to let loose and just have fun. Keeping the country safe and peaceful is no mean duty, anyway. And they deserve to have a great time every now and then.

Their funny video earned more than 696,000 views. Wow!
