Some moms are all about discipline. Whether you’ve had one, been one, or simply seen one, there are moms who have impressive control of their kids and all it takes is a little growl and they all get in line. The growling doesn’t relate so much to humans, but it does relate to this particularly authoritative dog-mom to whom her puppies are surprisingly obedient.
This maternal doggo knows exactly how to get her brood to calm down.
When she’s waiting to enter the pen with he pups, they are way too excitable.
They’re obviously hungry and they wag all their tiny tails vigorously as they pile up to the gate. Meanwhile Mom looks on as if preparing to enter the fray of a battlefront. I think in her head she’s preparing to enter the chaos of seven hungry puppies!
As she enters the room, Mom gets rushed by the brood as they hungrily nip at her…y’know… She gets completely swamped by the group which is way too over-excited.
She’s going to have to assert dominance somehow…
Once she settles in her spot in the middle of the room she takes position.
Starting low and steady, Mom growls just enough to begin warning her kiddies to calm down. She then begins barking and moving away from the hungry hoard. The puppers stay where they are and Mom faces them and barks at them.
She snarls and barks back at the puppies, and one by one, they begin to calm.
Some of the naughtier puppies take a little bit more growling and barking to get the idea, however slowly but surely they relax and lie down.
They wait patiently now, obediently calming down
Now that’s effective parenting! Before you know it the hoard of chaotic puppies sit down and in some cases lower their head in submission. The puppies don’t seem terrified or anything, they’re not afraid of their mom but they certainly get the message that it’s time to calm down.
When the entire brood is sat down, she has complete control of the group
When one pupper comes up to investigate, it gets growled back down by Mom who is NOT having it. That particular pup then retreats to a cushion to lie down submissively. The rest of the brood are still sitting calmly and watching on. One pup comes up and nibbles on Mom’s tail and again gets barked down.
The comments on this particular video are hilarious and it seems that viewers admire this Doggo’s parenting prowess. One comment even reads:

But it’s not all just bossing around for this mom. When the cheeky pup is relaxed, she walks over and begins cleaning it affectionately. She then moves over to another and looks after that one. She isn’t all business after all, she just knows how to get her kids under control. Anyone who’s ever been to a Walmart will know that there are plenty of parents who could learn from this proficient parent.
