Not all of us have the courage to take action when a problem arises in public events. Most people would always choose to keep quiet regardless of the situation.
But not this man – Trenton Brown.
It happened during a basketball game between the Waverly High Tigers and the Portsmouth West High Senators in West Portsmouth, Ohio where Trenton was part of the audience.
Just before the program has started, there were technical difficulties.
The thing was they were also about to sing the national anthem.
Due to the problem with the sound system, there was an awkward silence inside the entire gym. All of the people who were part of the audience were probably waiting for the event organizers to solve the problem.
Except for Trenton.
He knew that he needed to take action so the program would already proceed. And the bigger reason is his love for the song The Star-Spangled Banner, especially that he is from a military family.
Trenton started singing the national anthem with all his heart. He sang every line passionately that’s why if you would watch the video, it would make you emotional.
It turns out Trenton is not just patriotic but has also got the talent.
Clearly, his voice is beyond beautiful. No wonder why after he sang, the audience applauded him.
The video of Trenton singing has gone viral when it was posted on Facebook.
It was posted by Johnny Futhey and he wrote:
“Just Wow! Audio wouldn’t work to play the National Anthem at tonight’s Waverly-Portsmouth West game. It got quiet and a little awkward then out of nowhere Ezekiel Brown’s dad Trenton steps up big time and sings with no mic, no music, just talent! Wow someone needs to sign this guy!”
As of this writing, the clip has been viewed 1.8 million times! Of course, many people didn’t miss the chance to express their admiration for Trenton.
All of them lauded his courage to stand up and his patriotism.
“Outstanding patriotism!!! Fantastic voice. God bless you,” one commenter wrote.
Apparently, Trenton also has a jaw-dropping talent in singing. And many people also noticed that.
“I need a tissue! That was not just brave and patriotic, but wow, it’s such a hard song for any vocalist, never mind without accompaniment! He did a great job,” a viewer left in the comment section.
What Trenton did is truly amazing.
Not everyone can actually do the same thing especially in front of a crowd. It also shows his love for the country as he was aware of how significant the national anthem is for Americans.
All of us should be reminded of that, too. Hopefully, like Trenton, we’re all willing to sing this precious song with or without musical accompaniment.
After all, it’s not just a song, it’s the national anthem that everyone should sing with respect.
