Moments of absolute shock have a funny way of depleting our vocabulary! We find ourselves unable to move, let alone speak. For Julie, her makeover moment products some of the biggest shock she had ever experienced.
Julie went on the Makeoverguy YouTube channel for some self-care.
If you’ve never heard of it (or him, rather), the Makeoverguy is a renowned makeup and beauty artist that loves helping people look their best! His actual name is Christopher Hopkins, but after you see some of his work, you might just want to stick to calling him the Makeover guy – he’s that good.
Chris does more than just makeup, too!
Like anyone highly skilled in an area, Chris has multiple hobbies and talents.

As it turns out, he is a singer AND an incredible makeup artist. Even better, he uses those gifts to help people whenever he can.
Whenever he does a YouTube makeover, the participants are usually shocked to the point of silence.
If you wanted any proof of how good Christopher is, there is never a dull response when the makeover is revealed to the person receiving it. It’s the best part for the watcher (and probably Chris, too)! Take Julie, for example. When she sees her new looks, she can only say two words, “HOLY COW”!
Julie is a retired teacher from Kansas City, Missouri, who is about to get the shock of her life.
From the small, 15-second description that we get of Julie initially, it’s easy to see that she is a selfless person. Working as a teacher for most of her life and then transitioning to another career so she could better care for her ailing parents, she has been in the service of others for a very long time. Sounds like someone in need of some love and attention!
The transformation flashed across the screen, shockingly fast!
The transition is so fast you are almost shocked yourself! Julies mom-teacher-retiree-vibes disappear super fast, and we are greeted with a new and improved Julie. The best part? Christopher reveals his process!
HOLY COW is all she could say… Julie did not want to walk out looking the same as when she came in. That’s called…. “A MAKEOVER!” We added “height,” and a deeper shade was more slenderizing to balance a round face. Any time you focus on your eyes, the rest “disappears.” And I did lend her my jacket since the golden floral with the round neckline wasn’t conducive to looking slimmer.
All that’s left is to show her husband!
While it’s all fine and dandy to look good for yourself, there is something marvelous about showing it off to someone else! Christopher brings Julie’s husband in, and he is almost as shocked as she is (in his own muted guy-version anyway). Her husband asked for sassy and he got it! It’s wonderful to get little moments of spice and flair in your life, especially as you get older!
