Jared Wells, a young man from central New York, has been a fitness inspiration to many in his environment as well as to hundreds of people online.

The 21-year-old was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a severe and genetic lung disease which causes constant breathing problems and lung infections. The disease is also progressive, meaning it only gets worse over time.

The treatment of cystic fibrosis has improved significantly and the general life expectancy has been more positive lately, but the doctors were treating Jared’s condition as very severe and very possibly terminal.

However, Jared doesn’t let his disease stop his dream of becoming a bodybuilder.
