It shows us how one can be a parent to a child even without any blood relations; anyone can give that love and care to anyone.

But this story has something extra up its sleeve.

It was quite a ride for her because twenty different families have rejected her after finding out about her condition. Sadly, this is also the reason why her birth parents gave her up.

She has Down Syndrome.

Down Syndrome is a condition when a person has an extra chromosome 21 in their genetic structure. This commonly affects their appearance, like a flat face, slanted eyes, short neck, small head and ears, and poor muscle tone. They also have delayed cognitive development. In more severe cases, they may have hearing problems, sleep apnea, and heart disease.

It’s challenging to raise a child with Down Syndrome, but it shouldn’t be a reason to reject one of love.

Most parents believe that children with Down Syndrome are a gift and can teach them a lesson. They just need an extra dose of TLC, and you’ll be rewarded with the same love – but ten times more!

The rejection is just too much for a child her age. But we believe that angels do exist on Earth, and that angel’s name is Luca Trapanese. When Luca knew about Alba, he felt it was fate that brought them together.

He’s long been active in fighting for advocacies, joining different groups and causes, and even created a foundation himself.

Indeed, Luca and Alba were meant for each other.

In Italy, it is difficult for Luca to adopt a child since they prefer a typical family with both parents. As a single, homosexual parent, this adoption was unusual to get approved. But Luca was very much willing to take her in. Besides, Alba already went through 20 rejections.

After 30 days, Luca officially became Alba’s dad.

They love going to parties and dress up for occasions. They love going out and taking a break by going to the beach. They also love putting up and decorating the tree every Christmas.

But their most favorite thing to do?

Goof around and take selfies! Luca’s Instagram account is full of Alba’s cuteness!

Luca and Alba are meant to be in each other’s lives.

Luca’s family and friends love Alba very much. She’s a happy kid in a happy home, and she deserves it. On the other hand, she also changed Luca’s life.

“Alba completely revolutionized my life. Now, everything revolves around her. She brought me happiness and a sense of fulfillment. I’m proud to be her dad,” he said in an interview with BBC.

Indeed, Alba is a blessing from above. This inspiring story is sending out a strong message to everyone that we should not turn our backs on blessings such as a child. It also reminds us that there is always innate goodness in others, even in the person you least expect.
