Accidents can happen in a blur, no matter how cautious you might be. Any untoward incident would always involve two parties, and if you weren’t the cause, you’d probably be the victim.

It is unfortunate to get caught in an accident. But when it does, all you can hope for is that you and everyone else involved is safe. We all know that isn’t always the case.

An accident in South Carolina involving a car and motorcycle would leave you wondering what happened, yet also thankful for how a horrible accident ended into something good. Thanks to the goodness of humanity.

Mind-boggling accident

A stoplight camera captured the video of this mind-boggling accident at an intersection in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We say mind-boggling because everything looked clear. The weather was sunny, and the road was clear.

Two motorcycles were slowing down before the intersection since this is what a cautious driver should do at a crossing. That’s when a Chevrolet Malibu, following closely behind, suddenly rammed over one of the motorcycles.

If you look at the video intently, you will wonder what happened. The car wasn’t going so fast. However, it didn’t stop when it should, resulting in this unfortunate accident.

Trapped underneath

That accident resulted in this heart-stopping scene: the sedan rammed over the motorcycle and toppled it down. The female backside passenger was thrown off the middle of the intersection. However, the motorcycle driver, later identified as Alex James, had it worse.

He was trapped underneath the car with his motorcycle lying beside him. If you look closer, the driver was sent tumbling underneath the vehicle and was pinned between that and his bike.

Twenty good Samaritans

An accident like that could go horribly wrong in an instant. Had that car gone too fast, or had Alex hit his head so hard, it would have killed him. But thankfully, he was safe and sound -thanks to the good Samaritans around.

A few moments after the accident, a few people rushed toward the scene and assessed the situation. They thought of lifting the car so Alex could crawl out, but there just wasn’t enough muscle.

Lo and behold, some twenty (or more) people ran to them and helped lift the car. It was amazing how these people worked together to save a man’s life. Even the driver of the car stepped out and helped.

Alive and well

Alex was rushed to the hospital after, and he was thankful to be alive and well despite what happened. He took it to social media, thanking the people but a bigger thanks “to the man upstairs.”

More so, he said that while his bike got the worse damage, a motorcycle can always be replaced, but his life can’t be—what a way to see things in perspective. And Alex could see the sunnier side of this thanks to the twenty good Samaritans that helped him.
