Tracy’s a mom from Indiana who had a huge milestone birthday coming up. She was turning the big 5-0!
Getting a new look is an excellent way to boost your confidence and embrace your inner-youth. So what better birthday gift for Tracy than a day with Christopher Hopkins (aka The Makeover Guy) and his talented team?
Interestingly, Tracy was just supposed to be a “side-kick” for her aunt. However, she ended up making her own appointment after a push from her supportive husband. The mom explained:
“I thought it’d be fun to see how to be 50 and fabulous!”
Tracy decided to let her hair grow out and keep it natural before visiting with Christopher.
Although some clients know exactly what they want when they step into a salon – Tracy’s adventurous side left her “open to anything.” According to the mom, she’d always lightened her hair, but it was actually dark-colored.
She needed something for herself.
Being a mom is one of the most beautiful gifts there is. However, it’s also a consuming role – and occasionally you need to remind yourself to take care of yourself too!
Even though Tracy’s kids were older, she was feeling that everything still revolved around them (and her husband). So when she had the chance to go in for her makeover – it was a nice treat having everything be about her for a change.
The Makeover Guy had to do some thinking before diving into Tracy’s transformation.

As for Tracy’s hair, Christopher shared on YouTube:
“I had trouble deciding on what direction until the deciding factor was really how thin her hair is on her left side and leaving the length would have proven ineffective. Since she had always been light blonde, we decided to use her natural dark blonde for a more contemporary “rooted” look.”
This mama turns out stunning.
When you get to see the new Tracy, you might be wondering if it’s the same person. Although she was beautiful from the start – her new haircut, color, and makeup style leave her looking glamorous! Best of all, she loves her results.
Tracy initially felt like she was about 40 inside before getting her makeover. But afterwards, she feels more youthful and confident.
She says:
“I feel younger now. I didn’t expect to feel younger, but I think I do. I feel refreshed and kinda new – alive … I gonna say 30 is the new 50!”
Tracy was going to knock her husband’s socks off.
“My husband really wanted me to do it. He really wanted me to spend some time just doing me enjoying myself. So I think he’ll love it. He’s always supportive, so he’ll love whatever style I have.”
