Few things are worse than losing a spouse. Whether married a few years or for decades, it’s a painful loss. One woman experienced this for herself. Now widowed, she struggled. Following the death of her husband, she didn’t feel like she had any purpose and as a result, she let her physical appearance go.
Meet Allison
Not only had Allison recently lost her husband but shortly after, she was laid off from her job. Then like millions of other people, she was feeling stressed because of the pandemic. Allison had reached the lowest point in her life. She knew she had to do something so about five months after everything happened, she decided to get a makeover.
Not just any makeover
There’s a good chance you’ve heard the name, Christopher Hopkins. Along with being an entertainer, entrepreneur, and author, he’s also a cyber star when it comes to makeovers. As a matter of fact, he’s known around the world as “The Makeover Guy.”
A superior choice
Although Allison could’ve gone to any professional, she selected Hopkins. After all, he’s the best of the best and she desperately needed a pick-me-up. In her cameo appearance, she had long, thick hair without any style whatsoever. Also, she wasn’t wearing makeup. She looked like a very sad, “plain Jane.”
Somewhat nervous
Allison was excited to get a makeover by Hopkins. But at the same time, she was feeling a little nervous. She stated that her biggest fear was getting a pixie. She didn’t mind having her hair cut but just not super short.
More than anticipated
As far as Allison was concerned, she just wanted to look better. She knew by changing her physical appearance, her mental health would follow. But what she didn’t realize is that Hopkins wasn’t satisfied with just better…he wanted to achieve perfection.
The big reveal
With Allison, Hopkins created a masterpiece. He kept her hair long but with better color and stylish long layers, she didn’t even look like the same individual. In her after images, you would guess she was at least 20 years younger. Her transformation is beyond incredible.
A few surprises
Allison was surprised that Hopkins had chosen a hair color that wasn’t too different from what she had. originally. But now, it had a rich, caramel tone that highlighted her beautiful features. The color change was perfect. Also, instead of going with more dramatic makeup, Hopkins kept things natural and fresh.
Slimming down
Allison explained that not only is she tall with broad shoulders but she also carries a little more weight than she’d like. But due to the way Hopkins cut, colored, and styled her hair, along with the “less is more” approach to her makeup, she appears much thinner.
From dowdy to gorgeous
In her initial interview, Allison looked dowdy. There was also a hint of sadness in her eyes. But with the makeover complete, that changed. She’s downright stunning and her eyes look bright and alive. She was right, this makeover was good for her physically and mentally.
Smiling from ear to ear
This widow is so thrilled with her makeover that she can’t stop smiling. She complimented Hopkins and his entire team for doing such a remarkable job. With her new look, she’ll feel more confident to get out and start living.
