Jared is a young man who values his studies, hard work, his community, and he loves to volunteer as well.
Jared Ledford is well-known in the community of Elizabethton, Tennessee. At his young age, he’s already recognized as a young man who shows respect not just for the people of his community, but as someone who loves to do volunteer work.
According to Angie Odom, the founder, and director of the TLC Community Center, Jared is a young man who loves to volunteer and has done it for years.

The people from TLC Community Center admire and love their dear Jared. They value his hard work and dedication, not just for their community but also for all the people he’s meeting.
“He has held down a job riding his bike and in this weather that says a lot. He never complains and always smiles willing to help.”
Jared often volunteers to help out TLC’s feeding programs and their other missions as well.

At the beginning of this year, Jared received good news. He had qualified to go to the Northeast Community College in Blountville, Tennessee!
Even though this was good news for him, he had one problem. He didn’t have any way to commute to this school.
According to Happily News, Jared can attend some of his subjects locally, but for his other subjects, he needs to drive around 45-minutes just to get there.

Now, the main problem here is that he didn’t have a car.
Last February, TLC posted a video on their Facebook account. There, Angie shared Jared’s story, the caption said:
“He couldn’t continue school because after graduation the school bus doesn’t take you to college.”
The video shows Jared sitting down in a white car. He starts the engine. Upon hearing the engine roar, Jared smiles, and then he starts to cry.
Jared cries because he now has his own car!
Thanks to TLC and with the help of a Good Samaritan they donated a vehicle to help Jared out.
Just then, his mom joins him inside the car, and they appreciate the beauty of the vehicle. The young man, still speechless, continues to shed tears of joy.
“It’s pretty awesome, isn’t it,” says the woman in the video while she comes closer to the young man.
Jared, still not saying anything is shown to be crying now, still shocked by the blessing he has received.
The woman tells Jared how they got the car.
“A man from the church, his mother passed away, she’s 97 years old and this was in her garage and they wanted to donate and to give it to someone who deserves it and it would help,”
The woman looked at Jared and told him that the owner wanted the car to be given to someone who deserves it, and he was that person.
“God made a way to help you right now.”
This time, Jared’s tears were pouring non-stop as he felt the sincere and beautiful message that the woman was telling him.
“This is your car that’s gonna help you get to your job and your schooling and to the store and being to help. It’s going to help make a lot of changes in your life. No more saying, ‘I’m gonna get it on my bag and see if I can carry this bag at the same time.’ You can just load it up your trunk,” she continued.
Jared smiled and nodded.
“Seeing how grateful he was just hearing he has a car without even asking the make or model was so inspiring,” Angie said in her interview with Happy News.
He was grateful and you can see it in his eyes.
Now, Jared can attend his other subjects and still continue to volunteer. Indeed, it was a blessing for this young man who has a good heart.
TLC’s post was also updated with some more great news. According to them, one of their supporters contacted them and offered to pay for Jared’s car insurance for the whole year!
How awesome is that?
Jared’s kindness and love were rewarded, and the blessing that was given to him will allow him to be a much better person. He’ll be able to study and continue his good deeds, and what’s admirable is that this young man has shown how grateful he is for the blessing that he received.
“Seeing Jared’s pure heart and how he was so appreciative and humble is what inspires me to get up the next day and help the next person,” Angie ends her interview.
