Little girl dances happily to street musician and we can't stop smiling
Her joy is contagious!

Street musicians breathe life into the city areas they play in. There’s nothing quite like going for a morning stroll and catching someone going to town on their guitar, bass, cello or violin. It’s that extra dash of pleasantness that you never knew you needed.

So I can hardly blame this little girl for getting her groove on.

She’s a bit shy to approach at first. But that sweet, heavenly music is too irresistible to young ears. In all of a few seconds, she says goodbye to her hesitation and starts stomping and bopping along to the lovely cello and violin.

These men on the cello and violin seem pretty glad to deliver, rightly so. Being out on the streets means they’re here to put a smile on everyone’s face, just the kind of spirit people like to see.

Way, way before we had any sort of sound and recording technology, performing on the streets is where it all started.

Busking” it was called. This was how anyone with a heart for music could make a living. Whether a stringed, percussion or wind instrument, you’d have to sit out on the streets and let everyone know what you could do.

Though as good as you might be, your income is at the mercy of whether people want to drop a few coins or not. Thus was the life of a busker. In a way, the success of the music industry with its sound and recording tech owes its foundations to busking.

This brings us to the present day, where musicians like these 2 are keeping the tradition going.

Everything may be digital now, but the hearts and spirits of all those past street performers live on. Besides, as convenient as Spotify is, nothing quite beats hearing an authentic performance in person.

Look no further than this girl during her little chance meeting on the street. These musicians are enjoying performing, she’s having a blast dancing to them, and it’s adorable for all of us back home to watch.

Everyone’s happy. They do say music brings people together.

The music’s hold on her is so tight that she actually loses her balance and stumbles. Not to worry, though. She’s back up again in an instant, without so much as a wince or acknowledging what happened. That must be some really fine music, huh?

This was all seemingly filmed on a stranger’s cellphone camera. We might never know the names of this girl or either of the performers.

All we’ll know about them is that they came together here one day and shared in a moment of pure joy, and that’s a pretty good memory to leave behind.

Wherever they may be now, I hope they know how many people they made smile. It’s not every day that your little meeting with strangers gets 1.2 million views on YouTube!
