These days, it seems as though a lot of people are inconsiderate. Just think about all the videos you’ve seen of those who refuse to wear masks inside stores, even though they’re required to do so. It’s frustrating to think a society acts like this.
But here’s some good news…not everyone’s inconsiderate. There are plenty of good people who want to do the right thing. Sometimes, that’s a big gesture. But other times, it’s something much smaller.
A roofer from Austria
This man was at work, simply doing his job. As a roofer from Tyrol, Austria, he was tackling a project. As part of that, he had to use a nail gun.
Loud noises
Have you ever spent any time at a construction site? If so, you know that a lot of the tools are pretty loud. That was the case for the nail gun this man was using.
But there was a problem
Near where the man was working, a marching band was playing music. They were so close, they could hear each other. Sure, this roofer could’ve kept on working, knowing the sound of the nail gun would disturb the band.
An Austrian tradition
It’s not uncommon for larger towns in Austria to have a local marching band. These groups are very important to the culture. Since they perform in parades and other special events, they’re vital to the city’s culture and pride.
No disturbing the band
Considering this band was important, the man didn’t want to disturb them. But he knew his nail gun was loud enough that it’d create a distraction. The problem…he couldn’t just stop working until they finished.
An innovative solution
Instead of not using the nail gun, this roofer tried his best to be considerate in a unique way. He listened to the music. Then, he timed his nail gun in time with the music.
A great song
Not only was this man being nice, but he might’ve even made the music better. He didn’t just nail to the beat. He created a pattern he followed along with.
So considerate
Viewers might think that this man was just entertaining himself. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Instead, he’s paying close attention and even slowing his work down to avoid disturbing the musicians.
Captured on camera
Most people wouldn’t have known about this occurrence if it hadn’t ended up online. And that’s just what happened. Someone was posted it to Twitter. Quickly, it became viral.
The people recording
If you saw something like this happening, you’d probably want to remember it too. The people who recorded the video thought it was funny. You can even hear them giggling in the background as they watch the man put in nails to the beat of the band.
Some inspiration
These days, things are hard for a lot of people. But videos like this show there are still kind and thoughtful people who go out of their way for others. It might seem insignificant but that this man did is a gesture that we can all draw some inspiration from.
